We will arrive in the late afternoon and catch a taxi to the Moorings in Road Town on the island of Tortola. Be sure and have a picture taken under the immigration sign for the local's titled "Belongers". It makes a great memento of the trip. After a twenty-minute taxi ride, everyone will link up at the charter base for a sleep aboard the night before we sail. Once everyone is settled in to their new quarters on our big sailing yacht, we will then go to dinner so that everyone can get to know each other. The Moorings Base is on the eastern side of Road Harbor across the harbor from Village Cay. We will be able to board our boat after 1800 hours. Everyone needs to get used to using the twenty-four hour clock; since, this is the clock true sailors' use. We will do a sleep aboard our fifty-foot monohull at dock the night before we sail. |

Everyone should wait for the Captain to assign berths. Once we are settled in, all will go to dinner and partake of the first "Pain Killer" treatment. Pain Killers are a rum laced drink that curl your toes and make you feel no pain. Today's Sailing Lesson We will focus on getting to the charter base with all of your luggage, finding your boat, figuring out how to turn the lights on, understanding how a marine head works and getting ready to have some fun.
