Kimberly Jayne Gray
Kimberly was raised in Dallas, Texas and majored in Economics
with an Art History minor at the University of Texas at Austin. While
at College, Kimberly spent a year at Sussex University outside
of Brighton, England, where she studied Art History under Thomas Crow, now
a director of the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles.
After College, Kimberly took a Fine and Decorative Arts post graduate diploma
at Christie's Education, London. She then worked at Christie's auction rooms in London's King Street before working for Michael Lipitch, one of London's pre-eminent dealers
in eighteenth century English furniture and works of art.
When sourcing antiques and works of art, Kimberly looks for:
- Authenticity
- Uncommon pieces
- Design integrity
Kimberly Jayne Gray Antiques sells unusual pieces, with a focus on unique items that you won't see again any time soon. We also seek out design integrity (ie. good design which is indicative of the mood and the interests of the time).
Kimberly has a particular interest and specialty in works of the British Arts and Crafts movement, including Gothic Reform, the Glasgow School and Aestheticism.
